We keep climbing! The second annual consortium meeting of the STAIRS consortium in Kumasi, Ghana, was graciously hosted from January 13-17, 2025, by STAIRS PI in Ghana Dr. Johna Adabie Appiah, together with his amazing team from Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. We were especially grateful to welcome the president of the Global Sepsis Alliance, Prof. Niranjan Tex Kissoon, and Dr. Janet Diaz from WHO in Geneva!

What a team! The workshop on telemedicine in Berlin was a big success thanks to our partner site champions and the invaluable support of AFEM’s leadership. STAIRS will evaluate the implementation of telemedicine to enhance capacity and improve quality of care for critically ill sepsis patients in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The first annual consortium meeting of the STAIRS consortium in Addis Ababa was graciously hosted from December 11-15, 2023, by Deputy Scientific Officer and STAIRS PI in Ethiopia Dr. Tafese Beyene Tufa, together with his strong team from Arsi University in Asella. A clear motto: #keepclimbing.
